Not Loving the Love Bugs..

Love Bugs. Do y'all know about Love Bugs? I thought I knew about them, I thought I had experienced them. No. I had no idea. They are everywhere, absolutely everywhere and there is no escape or refuge. They cover my vehicle, my door, my screen door, my windshield; they invade my living area, my bathing area and my sleeping area; they fly and they crawl and there is no stopping them. And then they die. They just die. 24-48 hours after the invasion they die. And you think that maybe you can breathe a sigh of relief that they are gone. Ha ha-fooled ya! They are replaced by a new batch, just as many and just as all encompassing. This has been going on for the last three days and I am not sure that I can take much more.

Now mind you, Love Bugs are harmless. They do not bite or sting. They do not carry disease, they do not cause illness and they do not make you itch. But I swear, if death by annoyance were possible, I'd have died a thousand times over!

So, I am in Wyoming... boondocked beside Twin Buttes lake on public access land. For the better part of the last hour I have been sitting on my couch, staring out the window, completely mesmerized.
