I spent a couple of days at Manatee Hammock campground in Titusville, Fl. It was a nice location, right on the water and across from the Space Cdnter, but it was do unbearably hot and humid that I barely left the RV. The heat index actually hit 107 one of the days.
On the plus side, I got to see Conrad, a friend of 30 years (plus or minus). He gave me a mini tour of Titusville, we did a little fishing and, truth be told, we spent the better part of Sunday afternoon napping on opposite couches in his living room. I guess the heat got to both of us!!
I left there yesterday and boondocked in Jacksonville last night. And today, finally, I have left the State of Florida!
I am about 3 hours into Georgia at a little State Park I had never heard of. So far, it is just what the Doctor ordered. I've got a nice site, it is still hot, but definitely bearable and all of the neighbors are quite friendly. Wiggy and I are looking forward to exploring
